Yaogangxian is a magical place capable of producing the finest fluorite crystals in the world and this is a wonderful example of that.
This specimen is from an old find, from the early 2000´s. They are called Starry Night and nowadays they are very hard to find in the market.
The name Starry Night is due to a light pyrite coating that was compared to a starry night sky, although this one in particular is not so visible.
It is a combination between Fluorite cubes, with spectacular zoning of different blues and purples and quartz crystals, which are not only on the surrounding of the fluorite cubes but also inside of many of them.
Yaogangxian mines have been closed for the last 3 years.
It was supposed to open this year (2026) but it is not going to open.
By now no one knows if Yaogangxian mines are going to open ever again.
High quality pieces like this one will start to be very scarce and will be a very valuable addition to any type of collection.
