This crystal is of Top quality, with superb luster.
It is composed of Optical Quartz with sparkling Hematite and Lithium, the Hematite is the black mineral and the Lithium, which is not so apparent, is the Pink mineral. It also has green Epidote on the bottom.
It has a Muzo Habit, Laser Quartz formation with just a slight ding on the termination.

This crystal has a very unique and curious aspect. Only part of it has been enveloped by quartz. It´s possible to see a division between the part with quartz and the other where the Hematite and Lithium was deposited and the quartz still didn´t enveloped the other minerals.
With time the Hematite and Lithium would be completely covered by the quartz turning them into inclusions and phantoms.

This type of crystals are rare and of exceptional quality, when pratically undamaged like this one it´s even rarer.
My dear friend and seller selected a small batch of these crystals from a lot of hundreds of crystals of this type.
According to him what happens most of the time with these crystals is that because they have this thin and fragile formation especially on the top, the termination and even some times bigger parts of the crystals are broken or severly damaged and so, what many people do is to polish the terminations so they can have a better look and sell them for higher prices.
These ones i got are completelly natural, with no polishing or artificial embellishment.


This crystal comes from the Mountains of Laghman, in Afghanistan.
